Denmark - No progress in bargaining with regional government - January 24, 2011

The FOA public service union is concerned about the lack of progress in the main collective bargaining round with the regional and local authority employers. The current three-year agreements expire at the end of March 2011 and FOA says that negotiations are already well behind schedule with the regional employers. According to the union these employers refuse to budge on their demand to abolish extra leave for older workers and also reject union proposals for extra protection for shop stewards curing restructuring and redundancies.
