The trade unions have requested a meeting with Prime Minister Boyko Borisov and Finance Minister Simeon Djankov to discuss the future of the State Railway Company BDZ and the National Railway Infrastructure Company. Petar Bunev, president of the KNSB railway union, stated that a high-level meeting would be necessary, also because of the absence of the Finance Ministry in recent meetings. Bunev pointed out that an expert working group is developing plans for railway development and reconstruction. He said that before 15 February, the deadline for the working group, his union would not take action (See also this Collective Bargaining Newsletter Year 3 December 2010).
