September 15, 2023 | 2:30 pm – 5:30 pm EST

fiona-dragstra.pngWageIndicator's Director Fiona Dragstra will contribute to the panel discussion 'Technology and Innovation, Workplace Safety, and Mental Health. Perspectives on the Future of Work'.

This panel will take place during the event 'SDGs in Brazil - Living Wage and Mind in Focus', organised by United Nations Global Compact in Brazil.

About the event

"This meeting will bring together business leaders committed to the Living Wage Movement, which aims to ensure 100% decent wages for employees, including operations, contractors, and/or subcontracted workers, and to promote and engage the entire supply chain in developing decent wage goals. As part of corporate responsibility to protect and respect human rights as described in the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, poverty in the workplace caused by low wages in the workplace and supply chains must be reflected in human rights due diligence approaches and corporate conduct.

The objective of this panel will be to discuss the future of work by contextualizing the global scenario and addressing technological advances and their transformations, as well as the impacts on the mental health of employees, always from an intersectional perspective of gender, race, and other political and social vulnerabilities."

Fellow panelists are:

  • Poppy Jaman, Researcher, Mind Forward Alliance
  • Nina da Hora, Director and founder, Instituto da Hora
  • Marcelo Nery, Economist
  • Moderator: Suelma Rosa, Senior Director of Reputation and Corporate Affairs for Latin America, Unilever
