The most favorable sick leave clause recently concluded is from Ghana, with 2 years of sick leave (one year with full pay and one year with half pay). This is one the most outstanding results from a global comparison between 362 Collective Agreements.

WageIndicator Foundation’s “Living Wages in Context” wins third place in Living Wage Innovation Challenge at the Innovating Justice Forum of 2014! WageIndicator Foundation’s “Living Wages in Context” wins the third prize in the Living Wage Innovation Challenge, set by the C&A Foundation and HiiL. The Award was conferred at the end of a two-day Innovating Justice Forum at the Peace Palace in The Hague, the Netherlands, which took place on the 25th and 26th of November, 2014. The Award and the Forum are meant to find, support, bring together, and improve Innovating Justice concepts all over the world and disseminate them further, in which HiiL’s network is instrumental in the promotion.

Launching of Automatic Compliant Form for Tanzania - June 23 - 2014

Press Release: Launching of Automatic Compliant Form for Tanzania. Partners: TUCTA, Labour Commissioner, and Wageindicator Foundation. Drawing from the experiences of Kenya and Ghana, Tanzania becomes the third African Country in the world to launch an online Minimum Wage Compliance initiative. These compliance forms will be offered for use to workers and employers of the general public on the website of Mywage.org/Tanzania.

First of Its Kind: Complying with Ghana Labour Law Online - May 1 - 2014

Ghanaian workers will for the first time be able to use an online system to launch complaints on minimum wage compliance at their workplaces. This innovation is made possible by the WageIndicator Foundation-Netherlands with support from the Trades Union Congress–Ghana, Ghana Employers Association, National Labour Commission, Labour Department and Ghana Federation of Labour.

New questions about ownership and control in 17 WageIndicator Countries - May 1 - 2014

The Wage Indicator Foundation, in partnership with the Labor and Worklife Program at Harvard University, is pleased to announce the launch of a new survey module on worker participation in the ownership and control structures of firms. Building on the existing Wage Indicator platform, the module will be run in 17 countries around the world: Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Kenya, Netherlands, Russia, South Africa, Spain, Ukraine, United Kingdom, USA, Slovakia, Sweden.
