The government foresees an increase in the national minimum wage to € 1,000 in 2028 and an increase in the average salary to € 1,750 in 2030. The value of the average salary is very close to the value of the minimum wage and there are few incentives for productivity. Increasing the national minimum wage to € 1,000 in 2028 is, therefore, an objective of the government.
