Netherlands - New agreement for carpentry industry - March 31, 2024

The more than 14,000 employees in the carpentry industry receive a wage increase of more than 9.5% in a year. The holiday allowance will be increased to 8.33% and the travel allowance will increase to € 0.23 per kilometer. This is the result of negotiations between the trade unions FNV and CNV Vakmensen with the Dutch trade association for the carpentry industry (NBvT). The negotiation result will now be presented to the members of the three parties. On 1 March 2024, employees will receive a pay increase of 6.5% and an additional 3% on 1 October. The home work allowance will also be increased to the maximum tax exemption of € 2.35 per day.
