Full-time employees’ average gross earnings were HUF 605,100 (€ 1,537) and average net earnings with tax benefits reached HUF 416,600 (€ 1,058) in January 2024. Average gross earnings grew by 14.6%, average net earnings increased by 14.5%. Real earnings were 10.4% higher than a year earlier. Median gross earnings were HUF 493,700 (€ 1,254), and median net earnings were HUF 341,700 (€ 868), surpassing the value for the same period of the previous year by 16.9% and 16.0%, respectively.
