The General Council of union confederation GSEE decided on the action plan for the next period, culminating in a 24-hour general strike on 17 April. At the heart of the claims are wage increases, taking immediate measures to deal with punctuality, the suppression of profiteering as well as the reinstatement of the collective agreements. GSEE demands that wages are raised above the minimum wage to protect the purchasing power of low and middle income households; immediate reinstatement of the National General Collective Agreement and the determination of the minimum wage by employees and employers and restoration of all priorities of collective labour law (extension of collective agreements, confluence, follow-up, etc.).
