Sweden - Collecctive agreement for personal assistants - August 31, 2023

Trade Union Kommunal and the service employers’ association Almega agreed on a new collective agreement for employees who work in the contract area sector G – personal assistance. Approximately 35,000 employees work in the contract area. The agreement runs for 27 months and is valid from 1 July 2023 to 30 September 2025. The new agreement includes, among other things, wage increases, increased minimum wages, a low-wage investment and an extra investment in on-call compensation. On 1 July 2023, wages will increase by SEK 1,069 (€ 89.60) per full-time employee. On 1 July 2024, the wage will increase by SEK 953 (€ 79.88) per full-time employee. The new minimum wage will be SEK 21,479 (€ 1,800) as of 1 July 2023 and SEK 22,188 (€ 1,860) as of 1 July 2024.
