Poland - Wages increase by 10.4% year-on-year - August 31, 2023

Compared to July 2022, average gross wages and salaries in the enterprise sector in July 2023 were nominally 10.4% higher year-on-year and amounted to PLN 7,485.12 (€ 1,675). Compared to June 2023 average gross wages and salaries increased nominally by 2.0%. The highest nominal increase in wages and salaries compared to the previous month was noted in agriculture, forestry and fishing (51.6%) and in mining and quarrying (32.3%). The highest average wage and salary in July 2023 was paid in mining and quarrying (PLN 14,933.27; € 3,343) and the lowest in accommodation and catering (PLN 5,452.25; € 1,220).
