Netherlands - Average pay increase of 15% in ambulance care - September 30, 2023

A significant pay increase of an average of 15% over 24 months and concrete agreements on improving the work-life balance are part of the bargaining result between trade unions FNV and employers' organization Ambulance Care Netherlands (AZN) for a new collective agreement for ambulance care. Salaries will increase by 5% retroactively as of 1 February. On 1 December 2023, another 5% will be added, with a minimum of € 150 per month and a maximum of € 300 for the higher pay scales. On 1 June 2024, wages will increase by another 5%, with a floor of € 150 per month. Employees in the higher salary scales will then receive an additional 2%, plus € 180 per month.
