Lithuania - Teachers set for a warning strike - August 31, 2023

Teachers will stage a warning strike on the 15 September and, if the results, including higher wages, are not achieved, they will also walk out on 29 September, the Lithuanian Education Employees’ Trade Union announced on 22 August. The teachers’ demands include reducing the number of pupils in classrooms, raising wages, and improving working conditions. The striking teachers will not go to work, while other forms of protest may also be used.
