Vodafone Ireland has announced it is extending 10 additional days of paid leave for employees acting as carers. The 'Caring for Vulnerable Others' policy is the first of its kind in Ireland, and will not be limited to staff members caring for a family member. The policy is designed to allow leave for those playing a principal role in caring for a vulnerable person, and provides additional supports such as flexible start and end times and hybrid working. Equating to 75 working hours, the 10 days' leave can cover hospital appointments and therapy sessions, and it can be taken flexibly to best suit the employee.
