Germany - New agreement for confectionery industry - June 30, 2023

After numerous strikes, trade union NGG reached a collective agreement for around 60,000 employees in the confectionery industry. In July 2023, all employees will receive a one-off inflation compensation payment of € 500 net. Apprentices receive € 375. Another payment of the same amount will be paid in January or April 2024, depending on the company. The wages in the lower pay groups will be increased by € 350 per month, in the other pay groups by € 300 per month. The salaries of trainees increase by € 175 per month. The term of the collective agreement is 14 months.
