The union IG BAU has reached a collective agreement for its employees in the sand, gravel, mortar and ready-mixed concrete industry in North Rhine-Westphalia. From 1 October 2023, wages will increase by 5.9% and from 1 October 2024 by a further 3.6%. The collective bargaining parties also agreed on a one-off inflation compensation bonus of € 2,000, which will be paid in two steps on 1 October 2023 and 1 July 2024. Training allowances are increasing disproportionately. The collective agreement has a term of 24 months - from 1 September 2023 to 31 August 2025.
