Czechia - Nominal wages up 8.6%, but real wages drop 6.7% - June 30, 2023

In the first quarter of 2023, the average gross monthly nominal wage per full-time equivalent (FTE) employee increased by 8.6% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. In real terms, however, it decreased by 6.7%. The median wage was CZK 34,741 (€ 1,462). Compared to the previous quarter, the seasonally adjusted average wage increased by 2.2% in the first quarter of 2023.
