Croatia - Ministry of justice workers strike over pay - June 30, 2023

Members of the trade union SDLSN were maintaining their strike that had been launched on 5 June. About 5,000 employees were involved in the action with the key demand to secure a € 400 salary increase and the regulation of collective bargaining for employees in the judicial authorities and the state attorney's office. The union argues that the government needs to respond quickly as services are being affected and a backlog of work is piling up. The government points to the prospect of salary changes in the public sector next year but the union is clear that justice ministry workers need action on pay now.
