Latvia - Slight decrease in employment - February 29, 2020

A total of 913,000 people (or 65% of the population aged 15-74) were employed in the last quarter of 2019, which is 4,700 fewer than in the third quarter. Relatively large increases in the number of employed persons were registered in construction, financial and insurance activities, public administration, defence, and social security services, as well as agriculture, forestry and fishing, according to data compiled by the Central Statistical Bureau of Latvia.
