Finland - New collective agreement for sawmills and plywood factories - February 29, 2020

The new collective agreement for sawmills and plywood factories drops the 24 annual unpaid working hours, which was effectively steamrolled into collective agreements in 2016. The Finnish Industrial Union and the employers accepted the proposal made by the National Conciliator. The agreement includes a 3.3% pay rise. Roughly 10,000 employees are covered by this collective agreement, which will last 25 months.
