At the end of October unemployment had fallen to 1.4%, compared to 1.5% the month before. In October 2018 the general figure was 1.6%. There was an even sharper year-on-year decrease in youth unemployment, by 0.6%. The 25-49 age group had an average unemployment rate, while the 50+ employee group was the best off at 1.2%.
