Latvia - Employment portal reports on labour market survey - October 31, 2016

According to a survey carried out by the employment portal, 86 % of employees have official employment contracts and pay all taxes. 4 % of respondents said that they were paid under the table, and another 4 % said that part of their salaries was paid under the table. Compared to the 2015 survey, when 380 respondents were interviewed, the situation has not improved much. In 2015, 82 % said their full wages were reported to the state, while 5 % confessed that their wages were paid cash-in-hand.
