Italy - Wages index for 2015 published - January 31, 2016

At the end of December 2015 the coverage rate (share of national collective agreements in force for the wage setting aspects) was 60.9% in terms of employees and 58.0% in terms of the total amount of wages. The index of hourly wages according to collective labour agreements was unchanged in December 2015 compared to the previous month while the per employee index increased by 0.1%. Compared with December 2014 both indices increased by 1.3%. The indices are calculated with reference to the fixed employment structure of the base period (December 2010). In 2015 the annual average of the hourly index increased by 1.1% compared to 2014, while the per employee index rose by 1.2%.
