Poland -Solidarność calls for boycott of Lidl -February 05, 2014

Trade union Solidarność has initiated long term protest actions against Lidl Poland for indecent working conditions and union bashing. Ever since Lidl workers decided to unionise the shop floor in January 2013, relations with management have been poisonous. By December 2013, Lidl fired the union leader and deputy leader. In reaction, Solidarność decided in favour of a range of actions against Lidl. The first stage is a call on union members to boycott Lidl in February and a series of complaints to the ILO and OECD.
