Germany -Public service and airport strikes as an upbeat to next round of negotiations -March 28, 2012

The third round of collective bargaining for the working conditions of 2 million workers at national and regional level started on Wednesday 28 March after weeks of warn strikes and other alert actions. The public services union Verdi mobilised around 215,000 workers. On 27 March the main airports in Frankfurt, Cologne/Bonn, Düsseldorf, Munich and Stuttgart were paralysed as the employees of the different airport services joint the strikes.
