At the end of June 2025, the 44 national collective agreements in force cover 56.3% of employees – approximately 7.4 million – and correspond to 54.0% of the total wage bill, according to the national statistical institute Istat. Ten agreements were implemented during the second quarter of 2025: five in the industrial sector, two in private services, and three in the public administration. At the end of June 2025, 31 agreements were pending renewal, involving approximately 5.7 million employees, or 43.7% of the total workforce. Average hourly earnings in the period January-June 2025 increased by 3.5% compared to the same period in 2024.
