Real wages were higher year-on-year in all 10 sectors monitored on a monthly basis. According to the statistical Office, as many as 6 of them achieved a wage growth above 5%. The smallest wage increase was in construction. Average nominal monthly wages rose at a double-digit rate in three sectors: retail (12.5%), industry (11.4%) and in food and beverage service activities (11.4%). After two months, all selected sectors also recorded a growth in real wages, ranging from 0.3% in construction to 10% in retail.
