Members of the trade union STAL employed by the TRATOLIXO waste company, conducted a 24-hour strike on 20 May, demanding respect and recognition for their professional value within the waste management sector. Despite facing obstacles from the administration and prolonged negotiations, the workers staged a rally outside the company's premises. The main demands include an immediate salary increase of € 150, a minimum salary of € 1,000 by 2024, a meal allowance of € 10.50 and a reduction in working hours to 35 per week.
