Lithuania - Average wage up 12% - February 29, 2024

According to the social insurance fund Sodra, the average wage grew by almost 12% at the end of 2023, driven by a higher minimum wage, rising wages of civil servants, and companies’ desire to retain employees. The statutory minimum wage increased by 15% and the basic pay rate for civil servants by almost 3%. Employees earned an average pre-tax salary of € 2,060 in October and December. Compared to the previous year this is an increase of 11.7%. Their average after-tax salary rose by 10.6%, or € 122, to € 1,275.
