Average earnings in July 2023 were € 2,202.08 gross and € 1,428.46 net. Compared to earnings in the previous month, both gross and net earnings were slightly lower (in nominal terms by 0.2% and in real terms by 0.4%), according to the Statistical Office. Compared to earnings in July of the previous year, they were higher in nominal (gross earnings by 10.0% and net earnings by 9.5%) and in real terms (gross earnings by 3.7% and net earnings by 3.2%).
