According to data of the Statistical Office, in June 2023, the nominal monthly wage increased year-on-year in all 10 monthly monitored sectors of the economy. Wages in most sectors grew at a double-digit rate. The highest growth of 15% took place in the accommodation sector with an average wage of € 1,082. The lowest rate of wage growth below the level of 10% was in transportation and storage with an average wage of € 1,297 and information and communication with an average wage of € 2,372. Real wages in up to half of the monitored sectors increased in June 2023, despite high inflation. Real wages rose the strongest in accommodation (3.8%). Real wages decreased by 4.5% in transportation and storage, in sale and repair of motor vehicles, in manufacturing, retail trade and in information and communication.
