Latvia - Union prepares for strike in healthcare - September 30, 2023

The Latvian Trade Union of Health and Social Care Workers (LVSADA) plans to make its final decision as regards the organisation of an industry strike in October. The trade union’s council decided to compose a Strike Committee that will be responsible for making pre-strike preparations. LVSADA invites the Minister of Health to meet with the council. The union demands higher wages as was agreed in a trilateral agreement earlier this year.
