Germany - Collective agreement in fine ceramics industry - September 30, 2023

In the first round of collective bargaining, the union IGBCE and the ceramic industry employers' association agreed on a deal for the 2,400 employees in the fine ceramics industry in east Germany. For employees in pay group 4, for example, this means that their pay will gradually increase by a total of 13.5%. Overall, the remuneration increases in four stages by € 500 per month. In addition, there is a one-off inflation compensation bonus of € 2,000 for employees. From 1 January, 2025, there will be a uniform pay scale for all companies in the fine ceramics industry.
