France - Strike at railways - May 31, 2023

The trade union CGT announced a strike at the French railways SNCF for 31 May 2023. This date corresponds to the day of a national round table organized by SNCF management on the subject of wages. According to CGT, the salary of railway workers continues to deteriorate. Among other things, CGT asks for a general salary increase, the integration of all remuneration elements into the salary, the revaluation of work bonuses and equivalent measures for contract workers, and the granting of a 13th month for all railway workers.
