Denmark - Real wages drop in public sector - June 30, 2023

Real wages in the public sector continued falling in the first quarter of 2023. Statistics Denmark has published the salary development for the first quarter of 2023. For municipal employees, salaries developed less dynamic. While they increase by 3.3%. in the fourth quarter of 2022, the growth in the first quarter of 2022 was only 3.1%. The growth rate of wage for regional employees decreased from 3.3% in the previous quarter to 3.0% in the first quarter of 2023. Real wages fell in all three public sub-sectors. It is the eighth quarter in a row with falling real wages in the public sector.
