Denmark - Unions attract more workers after Ryanair clash - January 31, 2016

Since October 2014, when the discount airline Ryanair announced its plans to open a hub in Copenhagen, membership of the employment union Flyvebranchens Personale Union (FPU) has increased by 31 percent, and other unions are also aware of growing support. The union argues that the Ryanair case has made the organisations more visible. It has become clearer what kind of organisation it is and what the union is fighting for. Those who are hesitant can better see the value of being a member of a trade union.
