Czech Republic -Policy statement discussed with the unions -February 11, 2014

A draft policy statement based on the coalition agreement will be discussed with the trade unions and employers' representatives, for the first time in history. The trade union confederation CMKOS stated that the government priorities corresponded to those of the trade unions that demanded measures in support of the economic growth, the creation of new jobs, development of school and health care sectors and the fight against poverty, usury and corruption. CMKOS is asking for a precise ‘action plan’ from the government. The Association of Independent Trade Unions (ASO) wants the government to solve the record high unemployment very quickly and to guarantee stable taxes for the following years.
