The minimum wage has been revised in the United Kingdom, with effect from 1 April 2024. The new national minimum and living wage rates are increased as follows:
- For adult rate: 23 years and older (national living wage, NLW), from £10.42 to £11.44 per hour;
- For adult rate: 21-22 years, from £10.18 to £11.28 per hour;
- For development rate: 18-20 years, from £7.49 to £8.60 per hour;
- For youth rate: under 18 years, from £5.28 to £6.40 per hour; and
- For apprentices rate: under 19 years or in the first year of training, from £5.28 to £6.40 per hour.
