United Kingdom - One year pay deal for comedy club workers - February 29, 2024

Unite the union has negociated pay increases for over 100 Stand Comedy club workers in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Newcastle. The one year pay deal, negotiated without the need for industrial action, will see the lowest paid receive pay rises of 13.6%. Some workers will receive pay increases of 19.3% due to their pay bands being regraded. Additionally, the agreement ensures workers receive paid rest breaks, minimum hours contracts (no zero hours contracts), full payment for trial shifts, paid transport home after 12 am, consultation on rota changes and they receive 100% of tips.
