The Malta Union of Teachers (MUT) and the Institute for Education (IfE) have signed a collective agreement, backdated to 2020 and finishing in 2025. Through this agreement, 39 full-time and 8 part-time employees will enjoy better financial and work conditions, the Education Ministry said in a statement. According to the union, apart from the better work conditions and financial package amongst others, this agreement gives job security to the employees by its recognition of the IfE as a main and distinct entity with an essential role in the education sector.
