Germany - Higher pay for metal trade - March 31, 2024

The trade union IG Metall in Berlin-Brandenburg-Saxony has reached a collective agreement with the state guild association Metall Berlin-Brandenburg. The basic salaries will increase by 4.8% retroactively to 1 January 2024. As of 1 January 2025, there will be another 3.3% pay increase. To make the 4-day week possible, a passage in the collective agreement will be adjusted. Training allowances are increasing disproportionately. The collective agreement runs until 31 December 2025.
