In January 2024, the average monthly paid net earnings per person in paid employment was € 1,239, which represented a nominal increase of 4.0% and a real increase of 4.4% compared to December 2023. The average monthly gross earning per person was € 1,695, which represented a nominal increase of 4.6% and a real increase of 5.0% compared to December 2023. The average monthly gross earnings per person for January 2024 were 13.1% higher in nominal terms and 8.6% higher in real terms as compared to the same month of the previous year.
