Switzerland - Extra money for teachers - October 31, 2023

Trade unions and employers signed the second part of the contract for teachers in state-run schools for 2022-2024. Now € 129 million can be paid out. The second part of the contract has been signed in the course of collective bargaining negotiations for 10,000 teachers and educators in “state-style” primary, middle and high schools in South Tyrol. Negotiations on the new collective agreement 2022-2024 are now continuing seamlessly. Analogous to the already signed cross-departmental collective agreement (BÜKV) for other public employees, the draft contract includes a one-off payment as inflation compensation for 2019-2021 as well as a one-off payment for inflation compensation in 2022 and an advance payment for inflation in the contract period 2022-2024 as well as a new determination of the state allowance intended..
