Sweden - Still 70 agreements to be renegotiated in 2023 - August 31, 2023

In Sweden, there are approximately 650 collective agreements at central level. During 2023, roughly 470 of them will be renegotiated, which affects approximately 2.3 million employees, according to the Mediation Institute. 67 central collective agreements remain to be renegotiated during the year, most of which expire at the end of September. The largest agreement in terms of number of employees is RALS (Framework agreement for state employees) which expires on 30 September and covers 130,000 employees.
