Sweden - 7.4% higher wage for plumbers - May 31, 2023

Byggnads, the Swedish Construction Workers’ Union, and employers’ association Installatörsföretagen have accepted the mediators’ position and are now agreeing on a new collective agreement for the installation and plumbing industry. This means that the announced industrial action is withdrawn. The new agreement contains, among other things, a wage increase of 7.4% from 1 May 2023, a stronger set of regulations when hiring subcontractors and improved pension provision.
