In April, nominal wages continued to grow at a significant rate, above 8% in all sectors. Among all the sectors, nominal monthly wages increased by far the strongest year-on-year in accommodation with almost 17%. the slowest by 9% in Transportation and storage and industry reported the smallest increase with 9%. However, because of high inflation, only employees in accommodation recorded a growth of real wages by 2.7%. The decrease in real wages ranged from 1% in selected market services to less than 5% in transportation and storage and in industry.
