Netherlands - Agreement for airport workers - October 31, 2023

After an action staged by 150 workers on 25 September at Schiphol airport, employer Schiphol Group and unions reached an agreement. The agreement also affects companies and employees who work on behalf of the Schiphol Group, such as security companies, private bus transport and cleaning. The temporary hourly surcharge of € 1.40 will be continued until 1 September 2024. After that there will be a surcharge of € 0.70 until 31 December 2024. Schiphol agrees that all employees should be able to earn a living wage. Schiphol Group will make maximum use of permanent security staff.
