Lithuania - Union expresses worries about agency - February 28, 2023

The trade union of the National Payment Agency (NMA) appealed to the Government regarding the disruption of the activities of the NMA and threats to the continuity of its activities. In light of the unclear situation at the top of the organisation, NMA staff are under tremendous strain and worry that the agency's operations could be disrupted. As a result, the agricultural and fisheries sector would suffer. The petition expresses concern about the actions of the Ministry of Agriculture, which have destabilized the institution’s and distracted employees from performing their direct duties.
