Switzerland - Union in conflict with airline - May 31, 2022

The airline Swiss has announced COVID-19 bonuses and variable wages. According to the ground staff union SEV-Gata, the bonuses were a request by staff as a recognition of the exceptional performance of the staff during the pandemic. Meanwhile, however, the airline is sticking to the “crisis agreement”, which takes away the COVID-19 premiums from the ground staff. According to the union, this contradictory behaviour of management is intolerable and is a provocation. The union will take legal action against the implementation of the agreement.
