Swedish, Danish and Norwegian pilot union members voted to adopt a collective bargaining agreement reached with airline SAS, and thus not resume their strike. The deal entails lower wages and longer hours for the pilots but also a commitment from SAS to rehire pilots laid off during the pandemic. SAS grounded some 3,700 flights during a crippling 15-day strike in July. A majority of SAS pilots in Sweden, Denmark and Norway walked out on 4 July triggering a strike that SAS has said cost it between €10 million to €13 million per day.
