Sweden - Government intends to boost unemployment benefit - May 31, 2022

The Government intends to strengthen unemployment benefits in 2022 at a cost of around SEK 5 billion (€ 470 million) by making some temporary benefits introduced during the pandemic permanent. In 2020, the government temporarily boosted unemployment payouts to cushion the economic consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic.
